Successful Brim is a graduate of Howard University and native of Dallas,Tx. She founded The Minority Psychology Network in 2019. Currently, Successful is a Doctoral Clinical Forensic Psychology student and employee at iHeart Media. Successful is using her platform in media to spread mental health awareness.

Dr. Monica Caffey is the Regional Director and Assistant Professor of the Psychology Department at National University where she runs both graduate and undergraduate programs. She is also the Chair of the Behavioral Health Commission for San Bernardino County 4th District and Governor appointee for the California Behavioral Health Planning Council where she is the Chair of Legislative Committee and Chair-Elect of the Housing and Homeless Committee.

Hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, Todd Hughes is a graduate of Howard University’s College of Engineering and Architecture, a serial entrepreneur, and community organizer. He has applied his engineering and analytical skills, as well as his project management and business development expertise toward helping establish numerous businesses that practice corporate social responsibility and diversity across the country.

Hello, my name is Natosha Harris. I reside in Memphis, TN which is also my hometown. Currently, I own a writing and book publishing company. I have a Bachelors in Healthcare Administration, a Masters in Psychology, and at the moment enrolled in Doctorates program in Strategic Communications. Professionally , I have helped over 20+ people become self published authors in the past 2 years with plans to expand into a Public Relations firm. I am a mother of a beautiful brilliant daughter and despite society’s beliefs I still believe in love, marriage, and families. I am involved with MPN because the correlation between spirituality and mental health definitely needs to be addressed and I love the safe space that has been provided to do so.

Lei Raiza Zervoulakos was born & raised in the Philippines and moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2011. She is a new member of MPN. She graduated with a BA in Psychology at LMU, and received her MA in Forensic Psychology with a police concentration at TCSPP where she is now in the middle of completing her doctoral degree in Clinical Forensic Psychology. Lei has worked has worked at a substance abuse clinic for 2.5 years and is now working as a research assistant for the Institute of Adolescent Suicide Prevention and has prevented at IVAT regarding fostering healthy parent-child communication. She is committed to helping and advocating for others as well as empowering individuals who have suffered abuse in silence, raising awareness and reducing the mindset of victim blaming, victimization, and stigma attached to mental illnesses. Her research interest include sexual assault, abuse, trauma, PTSD, and sex offenders.

Natalia Bygrave graduated from the illustrious North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State university, where she ran four years of indoor and outdoor Track and Field . She is currently a doctoral student in Clinical Forensic Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. Natalia has worked at mental health residential, assisting adolescence for the past four years. Natalia is passionate is in African American mental health awareness and services.

Camille Dial works with high risk adolescents and their families as well as adolescents under the jurisdiction of DCFS and/or Probation. Camille is very passionate and dedicated when it comes to mental health and advocating for young people. Her goal is to help young people of color successfully overcome trauma to accomplish their dreams.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Shannon Myart is currently an Assistant, Athletic Director at the Boys & Girls Club Wichita Falls Region. Mr. Myart received his Masters Degree from Midwestern State University while being apart of MSU-Texas football program. Shannon hopes to utilize his leadership to encourage others through his work with the youth.”

Eka Childs-McTear, M.S. is a CA Board of Behavioral Sciences registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #111539 with an extensive background providing therapy, case management, and housing primarily to inner-city youth/young adults and their families while being placed under the jurisdiction of the LA County Department of Children and Family Services and/or Probation. Born and raised in South Central LA, she attended inner city schools in low income areas before going to college at UC Santa Barbara for undergrad and returning back to LA to attend a Southern CA campus of University of Phoenix where she obtained her Master of Science Degree in Counseling , Marriage, Family & Child Therapy. Currently , she provides individual, couples, and family therapy to clients who voluntarily seek treatment at growURpotential. As a Trauma-Informed therapist, she believes Transitional Age Folx deserve support and aims to support such clients who are dealing with past trauma or other disheartening experiences to aid them in rebuilding confidence. As a mental health professional Eka joined MPN in December 2019 because she too advocates to break the stigma and bring awareness of emotional wellbeing & mental illness/instabilities, particularly within communities of color. She is committed to aiding her clients in healing past generational, systemic, and communal disparities to uplift skills that promote safe and healthy approaches on their journey. Eka is a devoted wife and mother of one who is on a marathon to obtain her CA License as a Marriage & Family Therapist with goals to begin a therapeutic private practice /wellness center

Jamie Johnson is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.  Her areas of expertise include multicultural, trauma, and marriage and family therapy. Currently, She is currently in school working toward a doctoral degree in Marriage and family therapy. Jamie’s goal is to reach as many families of color as possible.  She wants to bring awareness to the issues family may experience and offer opportunities to live a less stressful and more fulfilling life.



Carmen Arreola is a very committed individual that displays positivity, dedication, and genuine belief in quality of care for all individuals in need. Her six years of administrative experience working in a behavioral health environment has shown her commitment to support those who are out in the field making a difference.

Lived between Berkeley, CA and , Inglewood, CA and currently reside in San Fernando Valley, CA, Carter is a therapist for multiple organizations. Co-facilitating groups for inner-city teenage boys, providing grief and loss counseling,g and providing individual as well as couples therapy. He completed his undergrad at Kent State University in education with a concentration in psychology as well as beginning a masters in sports management He completed his masters of social work at California State University- Northridge.

He co-host the podcast centered around incorporating Mental Health into everyday conversations in a casual non-politically correct way. One major reason why Carter is involved with MPN is that he wants to be a resource to people within the melanated community. Carter takes pride in being a representative for those that are underserved.

Brandon Johnson was born and raised in New York, and he is a current 3rd year Clinical Psychology Doctoral Student and President of his class at Midwestern University. Brandon is a committed student to developing the necessary skills in the application of clinical psychology as well as research and experimentation to both the criminal and civil legal arena. Brandon currently holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology, a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology, and he will be earning his second Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology next month. Brandon completed his diagnostic training at the Kane County Diagnostic Center, which is the psychology department for the 16th Judicial Circuit in Illinois. Brandon’s passion lies in increasing mental health awareness, providing psychoeducation, resources, mentorship, and guidance to inner city children and adolescents who may be at risk. As a result, he is currently completing a therapy externship at Cook County Juvenile Detention Center in Chicago IL.

Dr. Michael Johnson was born and raised in Dallas, TX and serves as the Director of Clinical Education for the Physician Assistant program at West Coast University, leading the clinical year for physician assistant students as they rotate through various medical specialties. Michael has over 15 years of experience in education and in addition to being a clinical director at WCU he also teaches Mental Health in the academic year. He received his doctoral degree in medicine from Avalon University School of Medicine, his master’s degree from Davenport University and his bachelor’s degree from Austin College.

My name is Jerrole Jackson and I am born and raised in Dallas, Texas and that is where I am currently residing. My current position in MPN is a Board Member and possibly apply for vice chair in the Forensics committee in the future. At my current job I am security professional while pursuing my degree in Forensic Psychology. I have my AA in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Dallas College and currenting enrolled at University of North Texas at Dallas pursuing my BA in Psychology. An interesting fact about myself is that I love Flag Football and I compete on competitive level and do travel. I got involved in MPN just for the internship hours but while I was learning the rope as an intern I started to have a fond new love for the organization wanted to do more and participate as much as possible. I want to see MPN grow even more than it is now and ready to start this journey.
